The working Principle of IP68 NYCSUL Ultrasonic Level Gauge with RS485

 

Ultrasound propagates in gases, liquids and solids with a certain speed of propagation. When the ultrasonic wave propagates in the medium, it will be absorbed and attenuated, the attenuation in the gas is the largest, and the attenuation in the solid is the smallest. When ultrasonic waves pass through the interface of two different media, reflection and refraction will occur. For interfaces with large differences in acoustic impedance, it is almost total reflection. The time interval from transmitting the ultrasonic wave to receiving the transmitted signal is related to the position of the interface. The ultrasonic level gauge uses this characteristic of ultrasonic wave to measure the level.
